A neighborhood school teaching violin, viola and cello by the water’s edge. Children aged 5–16 and adult beginners are all welcome. Lessons are 30 minutes, one-on-one, Tuesday to Saturday.

No. 2 — Who it’s for

Nobody starts too young, or too late.

We teach children from age 5 up to 16, and we have a place for adults picking up a bow for the first time. Learning a string instrument is a gentle, steady voyage.

Saturday mornings, playing together.

Our youth chamber ensemble meets on Saturday mornings. It is where young players make music alongside others, listen across the parts, and grow beyond the practice room.

No. 4 — Recitals

Two recitals a year, in a church hall with good bones.

Each fall and spring, students perform in our recital series, held in a converted Anglican church hall. Family and friends gather for an afternoon or evening of music, a first stage for new players.

Start before you commit to buying. Rental instruments are $22 a month, and we’ll help you choose the one that suits the student. Just ask when you book.
