Kyokushin karate · Toronto
Iron Lotus is a traditional full-contact karate dojo for kids from age 6, teens and adults. Real discipline, real self-defense, hard conditioning, in a community that respects every student.
The Dojo Way
Full-contact karate is demanding, and we treat it with respect. Our culture is no-ego: students bow in, work hard and look after one another, whether they are nine or forty-nine. Discipline here is something you build together on the dojo floor.

Head instructor
Our head instructor holds a fourth-degree black belt and sets the standard for the dojo, in technique and in character. Students learn from someone who leads by example and expects the same humility from everyone who steps onto the floor.
Belt grading
Each spring and fall we hold a belt-grading ceremony. Students demonstrate what they have learned, families come to watch, and the whole dojo celebrates the work behind every new belt. Progress is steady, honest and earned.
One student is $95 a month. Two students are $160 a month, so brothers, sisters, parents and kids can train on the same floor. Every new student starts with a free two-week trial, so you can feel the dojo before you commit.
