Chess, shogi, Go: three boards, three ways to think
Children learn chess, shogi and Go, three classic strategy games from different traditions. Each board asks a child to plan ahead, weigh choices and learn from the result.
-
Chess
Two armies, one king
Chess
Every move changes the whole board. Children practise looking a few moves ahead before they touch a piece.
-
Shogi
Japan’s own chess
Shogi
Captured pieces can be dropped back onto the board as your own, so no battle is ever over until it’s over.
-
Go
Black, white, open space
Go
Players take turns placing stones to claim territory. Simple rules, endless ideas.

Progress you can see, one colored belt at a time
Our ranking system uses colored belt levels, so families always know where their child stands and what comes next. It’s built for parents to follow at a glance, with no need to know the rules of the games. Every child gets a clear goal to work toward.
