Copyright & Takedowns
Last updated 21 October 2026
We respect creators’ rights and respond to notices of copyright infringement under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and similar laws.
Report content
If something on SmrtSites uses your work without permission, send a notice with the form below or by email to our designated agent, registered with the U.S. Copyright Office: Copyright Agent, ElevationArk LLC, noah@elevationark.com, 1815 Grove Street, Denver, CO 80204, USA. A valid notice includes: your contact details; the work you own; the address of the content on SmrtSites; a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn’t authorized; a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner; and your signature (typing your full name counts).
What happens next
We review every notice. If it’s valid we take the content down (a published site goes offline, a template is delisted) and tell the template’s creator, or the site’s owner by email. They can send a counter-notice if they believe it was removed by mistake; if they do, and the person who reported it doesn’t tell us within 10–14 business days that they’ve gone to court, we may restore it. A counter-notice must identify the removed material and where it was, include a statement under penalty of perjury that it was removed by mistake, consent to the jurisdiction of the federal courts where you live (or ours, if you’re outside the U.S.), and carry your name and signature. After two upheld notices we stop an account from selling, and we close the accounts of repeat infringers. Earnings are held while a notice is open.
Sending a notice that you know is false can make you liable for damages.
